"Romaine Tenney: The Man Who Wouldn't Be Bought" The Weathersfield Historical Society will present a program on Romaine Tenney, Sunday, May 18, in Martin Memorial Hall, Route 5, Ascutney, Vermont, at 2:00. Mr. Tenney was a lifelong farmer in Ascutney who fought the taking by eminent domain of his family farm when Interstate 91 was constructed. On the night of September 12, 1964, Romaine Tenney died in a fire that destroyed his house and barn. The program is open to all, and refreshments will be served.
